Mr.
Rufus Keller. And I say Mr. with all the respect I can muster into typewritten
words. I have only known Rufus since about 1997. I bought a used car from this
man. Can you believe that? But I was so impressed with him as a person. We talked
often and became good friends. So why is he on my honor roll? Other than the
fact he has the character, ethics (did I say ethics about a used car salesman...lol),
personality, and loyalty, he would belong on my honor roll just for helping
my two sons, Bobby and Ken, to get started in their careers. He and Bobby are
much closer than I am as they share a mutual appreciation of playing basketball
and selling cars. Rufus has guided my son Bobby into upper level management
in a very short period of time. Granted, Bobby had to have something going for
himself also, but Rufus cut down the "obligatory waiting time, if you will.)
I am sitting here trying to think who on my honor roll is more deserving person
and can't think of a single one. Through private conversations, we have found
that we have several things in common in our lives. The most obvious is neither
one of us can keep a wife...lol. However, Rufus, like me, maintains his responsibilities
to his kids and their upbringing. I can't tell you how many times I have received
a call out of the blue from him just wanting to know how I was doing. When my
son was having a few physical problems, Rufus was right there to give him advice
and ensure his job security. My friend is going through a little rough times
right now and although I do not pray, my thoughts and best wishes go out to
him daily. Friends like Rufus don't come around that often. I am so fortunate
to have him as a friend. He is definitely one person who ever needed my help
at any time, I would do all in my power to be there. I wish the entire world
could get to know Mr. Rufus Keller. Thank you my friend, for all your kindness.
