Does
everyone remember when this song came out? We all thought we knew what was
behind the Green Door. I have vivid memories of all the gang sitting around
Mrs. Smith's living room table, listening to the song, and trying to convince
everyone else we knew what was behind the door. We had so many wonderful times
hanging around Mrs. Smith's table. To this day, I don't know how she did it.
Her house was constantly full of neighborhood kids. What a lady. Anyway, I
think we finally came up with a consensus as to what was actually behind that
damned Green Door. I guess only Jim Lowe would know for sure. We deduced it
had to be the electric chair. Just listen to the words and see if we weren't
right. Hopefully none of us ever had to find out for sure. But what fun those
days were.
