Number 21 and its accompanying memory
Oh boy, this song takes me wayyyyy back into the 50's Shh-Boom by the Chords. This was the beginning of rock and roll and rythym and blues and soul music to me. Alan "Moondog" Freed, the father of rock and roll, had his radio show in Cleveland at the time, before moving to New York. Because the music he played was highly frowned upon by most adults, it did not come on until midnight. I can remember so many nights of laying on the floor and listening to the songs with the radio barely loud enough to hear. Shh-Boom was a biggie along with Money Honey. Later on, with the showing of the movie Blackboard Jungle, the song Rock Around The Clock became outwardly popular and Rock and Roll was on its way. But I will always consider Shh-Boom the beginning for me. The song just made me move.
