My Song Memories

Number 33 and its accompanying memory

Ahhh, Free Willy. Such great memories are brought by hearing this song. My daughter, (yep, her again), begged me to let her play soccer. I can't stand soccer but finally in her seventh grade I decided to let her play. I still don't like soccer but what absolutely life enjoying memories I have of Deb playing that game while I backed our 1992 Ford Mustang GT Convertible under a tree off to one end of the soccer field, put the top down, turned on the loud sound system my son Bobby had put in the car, and let it blast out Free Willy while they played. I was in heaven. Not crazy about "Jacko" but loved this song. Listening to the song, watching her outrun everyone on the field, (yet never scoring once the entire season..lol), made my day and made my watching that stupid game pleasureable. 'Course, I could watch Deb read a book and feel good. Love this lady oh so much. Although she never scored, she was very instrumental in their win-loss record and although never having played the game before in her life, she was asked to join the Club All-Star team at the end of the season. Just another testament to her great athletic prowess. I don't know if Willy ever got Free, but I felt as free as the wind blows listening to this song and watching my little girl do her thing. Oh, did I forget to mention they almost had to forfeit one game because the refs didn't like my song and forced me to shut it off? Yah, it happened. Oh well...and life goes on.
