Number 3 and its accompanying memory
This has to be one of my all-time greatest memory shakers ever. It is called In Bobby's Arms and it is sung by Dolly Parton. Once again, I found this song by accident a few years ago and as soon as I heard it, I had happy tears pouring down my cheeks. Still do as I sit here writing this. No song reminds me more of my son Bobby or what he is all about than this song. I must have literally played this song continuously for 3 weeks after I downloaded it. And each time, tears of pride and joy would flow. If only you folks knew what a great guy Bobby is and what a kind hearted person he is. We are very close. It was pure hell taking him to the airport after Thanksgiving day weekends so he could fly back to Kansas for college. It got to the point we said our goodbyes at the house and I would just drop him off at the airport and leave. And even then, there were tears. Some kinds of love defy description I think. If a parent truly loves his or her kids, you know the kind of love I am talking about. If I had to chronologically list all the greatest things that happened to me in my life, the first four would be having my kids. Each one has given me so many deep, wonderful memories. I could write a book about my memories of Bobby alone. What an athlete he turned out to be. And now he is the proud father of a little boy Jordan. Little hell! This boy is going to be a middle linebacker some day. So strong and so big. But he smiles too much. Maybe he has Bobby's personality. Won't be mean enough to be a middle lineback. His family is lucky and I am lucky cause we know what it means to be In Bobby's Arms.
